Mark Pope is initiating an ongoing Sacred Circle for the purpose of supporting those who wish to experience greater and greater gratitude. Please understand, this is not a gathering for the expression of personal issues, problems, or concerns. This circle is devoted to holding the frequency of thanksgiving through sharing our experiences of increasing good.

Monday Evenings

Love Offering - no one turned away
Oneness Blessing or “Deeksha” is a transfer of Divine Energy for Awakening to Oneness, letting Divine Grace and Love into your life and experiencing the Flowering of your Heart. This transmission of energy affects the activity of the brain, causing a significant neurobiological change by quieting the parietal lobes and activating the frontal lobes. It can bring about a change in the perception and experience of life.
A donation of $10 is requested, however, no one will be turned away. There are chairs for sitting. If you wish, bring a blanket and pillow for lying in shavasana after the Blessing.
Story Telling Theatre with Ron Olson
Tuesday Mornings 7:00-8:30am
and Tuesday Evenings 7:30-8:30
in Friendship Hall
Please call Ron Olson at 274-7196
Suggested Minimum Donation $10
Every adult has had a childhood and a way of seeing this childhood is through the lens of stories. Some stories are sources of strength and happiness. Some stories are interrupted, arrested or repressed feelings which can be the source of repeating and limiting patterns in adulthood and even marriage. Unfortunately, many of our own stories have been ignored, discounted or invalidated. What is actually true is, our stories properly understood, are the source of our uniqueness, genius, compassion and much more!
Fun and interesting, Story Telling Theatre can be a powerful method to explore, discharge and reframe our stories! Even if you’ve done all kinds of work before, you may find stories you didn’t know were there! Come and see if Story Telling Theatre might be right for you!
Unity and Eckhart Tolle
A six-week class with Rev. Mark Pope
Wednesdays
July 23rd--Sept. 3rd
7:00-9:00pm in the Sanctuary
(Love Offering)
Recently, after participating in a vastly, popular class broadcast over the web by Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle visited Unity Village for a period of rejuvenation. While there he gave an exclusive interview to Unity.FM. You may view this interview at www.unityonline.org (search the website for Eckhart Tolle interview).
It seems this is an appropriate time that we offer a class devoted to exploring the phenomenon of spiritual awakening in the context of Unity principles and the teachings of Eckhart Tolle.
Our gatherings will utilize audio, video, written word, lecture, discussion and periods of silence/stillness devoted to actual spiritual awakening as such awakening is pointed to through Unity teachings and by Eckhart Tolle.

Give Me Some Credit: How Credit Card Addiction Ruined My Life, and a Year of Miracles Saved It - with Josh White
A four-part class with Josh White
Tuesday evenings,
August 26th – September 16th
6:30pm (sanctuary)
Suggested donation $10
(no one turned away)
In these classes, Josh will be discussing practical emotional and financial tools you can use to help you get out of debt, create inner and outer wealth, and enjoy greater emotional freedom. You are welcome to attend any number of classes (you don’t have to take all the classes if you don’t want to). Josh can be reached at (928) 300-3049,
or joshwhiteworldwide@gmail.com.
A little about Josh’s story: Josh woke up and found himself over $53,000 in debt, due to abuse of credit cards and poor choices in business dealings. Despite the fact that he was a successful psychotherapist and was helping others, Josh had a crippling secret, and the credit card addiction he had been nursing for several years had finally caught up with him. On that day, Josh realized he had to make a change, so he cut up his credit cards and vowed never to use them again. Unfortunately, he was in so deep that the following year left him teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, with serious health problems and a strained marriage.
Josh subsequently endured incredible stress and innumerable challenges in his journey out of debt. However, he lived to tell the tale, and his book, “Give Me Some Credit: How Credit Card Addiction Ruined My Life, and a Year of Miracles Saved It,” is now under consideration for publication by four major publishing houses. In his book, Josh chronicles his journey out of credit card addiction, through legal troubles, confrontations with creditors, a separation from his wife, two stress-related emergency room visits, an emotional and spiritual breakdown, and, ultimately, redemption including a joyous marriage, deep spiritual connection, and a burgeoning prosperity that is beyond anything he could have dreamed of.
Josh now feels a calling to inspire others who are downtrodden due to their debting behaviors, and help them to create internal and external Abundance and freedom from all kinds of debt. He does so through writing, workshops, public speaking, and coaching individuals and couples.

One of the most recent & powerful repertoire of Qigong techniques is Pan Gu Mystical Qigong (also known as Pan Gu Shengong). Tens of thousands of people around the world have learned to practice this form and attest to its efficiency in curing disease, strengthening the immune system and increasing vitality. This form of Qigong greatly improves & has cured many conditions of heart disease, diabetes, strokes, Rheumatoid arthritis, cancers, lupus & liver conditions.
Master Ou is well known as a Grand Qigong master, an Author, A Poet, and a Calligraphist. He is the Vice Chairman of the Organizing committee of the First Beijing International Health Expo (2007), and a council member of the International Qigong Science Association. He was a council member of the International Medical Qigong Association, and the former Director of the Qigong Research Institute of Guangzhou University.
After intensively studying ancient Chinese ways of preserving health, in order to enable practitioners to absorb the Life Force of the Universe, and to temper and improve their own Life Force and immune systems, Master Ou created Pan Gu Shengong, based on the physiology of the human body, and the miraculous relationship between man and nature.

Opportunities to Be God's

in Action!
- Hospitality Volunteers – new shift in this service! FYI, our hospitality coordinator now sets up the tables, tablecloths & condiments for coffee and tea the night before Sunday service, and we have a lovely lady who cleans up after the 2nd service , so volunteering is much easier now and does not include cleanup! Our time in fellowship is a significant component of Sunday services. Would you like to volunteer to provide refreshments for a service? You can also designate your service in honor of a special occasion. The sign up sheet is in Friendship Hall. If you cannot provide refreshments, it is perfectly acceptable to just prepare a platter of cheese and crackers and cookies, which are always on hand.
- Ushers and Greeters – your consideration of this service is greatly appreciated and very much needed: If you would like to assist with our Sunday services as an usher or greeter, please call Peter Thomas at 204-2928 or email him at pthomasjr@mac.com. Volunteers in this area generally serve one service only and on only one Sunday per month.
- Bookstore Volunteers: Please contact Jennifer Taron at 284-5015 or email her at jl_taron@yahoo.com to volunteer in our bookstore. We presently need several more people in this area.
- Office/Errand Assistance: If you would like to help with small projects like dropping off our rack cards to the chamber and a few other locations, or watering plants once a week, please call Samara in the church office at 282-7181.
Thank you for volunteering! You and your service to the church, in whatever way supports you, is much appreciated!
A showering of Grace unto you…Rev. Mark

Did You Know . . . Shopping at BASHAS’ could
earn dollars for Unity of Sedona? Our church received $1.605.76 in 2006 by participating in the program.
It is so simple and costs nothing. All you have to do is: at any Bashas . . . as you hand the cashier your Basha’s Thank You Card, just ask them to credit Unity Church of Sedona and that’s all you have to do. You only need to ask one time. After that, a percentage of your purchases will automatically go to Unity Church of Sedona through March of 2008.
Please hold in prayer….
If you know someone who needs the prayer of a chaplain, please have him or her contact Chaplain Coordinators Marie Thompson (649-9926) or Jeanette Suggs (649-9151) or Samara Wilder in the church office (282-7181) and the call will be forwarded to a chaplain. Our trained and loving chaplains
